finally we got 3 medals and 47th rank in medal tally.....
not bad...
but wat abt oder performances....
like...
our STAR Anju B. George fouled all three attempts in Long Jump...
relay team failed to qualify....
Akhil and Jitender, though lost to better opponents, still gave worthy performances...
Achanta Sharat Kamal, after finally getting a chance to play....won 1st round and went on to lose the second...
Wrestlers Yogeshwar Dutt and Rajiv Tomar failed badly...not even qualified for repechage....
still we are proud of our athletes....who in reality are more into endorsements, personal egos than in sports...
a news....A new facility worth crores is coming up in Delhi-NCR to help athletes train for Boxing, Football, Wrestling and other newly found interests....

Pondering over....
This time I caught the Olympic fever....dats watching more n more events being telecasted on D.D.Sports....
I thought watching the games this time and cheering for India would result in smthing good...and it did....Abhinav Bindra won a Gold for the country....

but the question remains....why does this happen.....whereas athletes from other countries like Michael Phelps or Kenenisa Bekele or Usain Bolt....how come they are improviing year by year,game by game????
After all,they are humans too.........
Another thing......its very obvious for our State & Central Governments to confer huge prize money and awards on the Athletes bringing glory to India(read Abhinav Bindra)...but in this case conferring so much prize money on an athlete who is already very fortunate to come from a rich family(having his private practice range,with state-of-the-art rifles and ammunition) is not justified....
Since India has started giving good performances/shows in the Games...the money conferred upon Bindra could be used to bring up facilities for development of other sports which require attention....
Also, Abhinav Bindra, being the owner of a new Rs.200-crore resort given to him by his father, should have been thoughtfull and instead of building a resort, could have asked to build a modern sports academy of the same amount which would help in producing more people like him and other Olympic "Stars" who have done us proud in the past......

The payoff of college life...Service Life
Computer clocks says its August 08,2008 7:22 pm(watch says 7:45).....another week at office came to its end....it has been like this for past 2 months....literally....no work....pinging oders has bn the only real work her(apart from having lunch,which is so good here!!!!)....
It all started on 29th may 2008....after reaching Mumbai V.T and paying Rs.800 for Kharghar, it was not like what we expected...stinking with sweat of 2 days...we(me and Basu) took a bath(seperately,obviously!!!) only after our room in new flat was cleaned...met Ashwani Sinha, a "phodu" in Chemical from Warangal...nice guy.....but has an unusual disease...HyperLDRonia...neways....till dat time..Sandeep ws ill with chicken pox....so he didnt have to suffer d pains of re-location.
Started fresh on 2nd June morning....wid induction at IOTL's Navghar terminal...ws feeling ecstatic seeing the place....motivator Mr.Sunil Bhatt ws der too....saw corp films, presentations, got to know abt businesses...the famous "5 S" system of the Japanese.....though the session ws too boring and morbid and dry and wat not...(yawn)...thinking abt it makes me sleepy...neways der,too,food ws awesome....at guest house too we hd good food....went to Vashi for McDonalds and stuff in free time....visited the famous Hiranandani office of the company....it ws breathtaking....evrything....literally...
ohh I msd smthing....in between we went on Mumbai Darshan in rain...and got drenched 10 times I guess...
...continuing....after Hiranandani, met Jatin...Sumeet, Uma, Sonam(school frnds-for them who dont know who d hell they r) at different places....
After this came the calamity......we were supposed to leave for Delhi on 12 th June,2008....so as per human tendency...we(a gang of six pyschos of different kind) packed our bags and reached Mumbai Central station only to find our train cancelled for past 1 month...a total disaster.....some thought we go for a show of DDLJ at Maratha Mandir....(told u..pyschos)...but rather went back....
then der ws chaos....booking tickets...hectic tension filled days...at one pt we thot we will sent by flight...but no...we were dumped in Rajdhani from Mumbai central...i did enjoy the days in between though....but the train too had sm problem with us...as it reached Delhi 12 hrs late....wat a day dat ws....but felt instantly relieved wen reached our Delhi guest house.....1 3BHK flat in posh South Delhi area...with only six ppl to live...and a cook!!!!!!!!
we wr happy as we didnot have too pay anything.....not even transport as nxt day our office car came to pick us up for office.....by the way I have Verma ji as my room partner, a happy go lucky person from Kanpur....
Ok next day, we met this HR manager of ours...Mr Vishal Tonk....and an assistant of his...Vijay Kumar Sharma, who reminds us of BigB....met everyone in the office.....ws sorry to see no good girls...there are some but they r our bosses....atleast one of them is my boss....also met the HODs on different days....
Now as we r new GETs/DETs...so we r expected to get trained, rt????no...u r wrong....atleast here...here we r expected to be patient....to acceot things as they come....not to rush....have fun....use GTalk...use proxy sites(but cautiously).....upload photos...like I hv done....

Another Teenage Story, Part 1
"Where hv u been?",asked Subodh.
"How does it matter to u?",replied Ashu.
"Achha, ab yeh baat hai....humme koi fark nahi padhta.....teri dosti gayi bhaad mein lekin jo teri itni izzat karta hai na....think abt him....".
"E plz dont make me solve puzzles.....wats d matter???"
"Here r Viki's bike keys....take it and go to dispi......ja ke dekh teri wajaah se Umesh ki kya haalat ho gayi hai"
"Kya hua usse???",asked Ashu,full wid fear and anxiety...."kya hua bolega???"
"He got beaten up by Jalal n gang...."...Ashu shudders wid rage,picks up bedrod and starts to rush out to Jalal room...
"Uski koi zaroorat nahi hai.....unpar disco baitha diya hai....."
"Mujhe fone nahi kar sakte the..???"
"Aur kaamo se fursat mile tab na...ab jaa....he hs bn asking for u"
Ashu runs out, takes Viki's bike to dispi and rushes into Umesh's ward....a huge crowd...he fears d worst....remembers Jalal's threat to kill Umesh and him...all heads turn towards him...Victor is sitting besides Umesh...looks up....signals others to move out....gets up....starts to go out.
"Kab hua yeh???",asks Ashu....Viktor a.k.a Viki gives a look full of hate....moves on....Ashu sits...puts his hand on Umesh's head....tries to feel the pain that Umesh is goin thru....he is sleeping...but still from the wounds and the injuries Ashu can feel....tears roll out...besides a feeling of guilt....asking,"WHY????"......(to be continued)

चलो गलतीयां तों सभी से होती है....जाइए माफ़ कीया....अब कुछ खट्टी मीठी बातें हो जाए.........
क्या आप जानते है...नही यह सब मुझसे नही होगा....
